I do my bit trying to communicate as clearly as possible, but at the same time I do wish people would also try to listen to what I’m saying. It takes two to tango, really, and I can’t do everything by myself.

I’ve been having more direct conversations with people these days, and I’m discovering that it’s more a matter of paying attention to them and to how they communicate with others, as well as forcing myself to say everything that should be said, and being more concise with it. It’s hard work, but I can see it’s paying off. Just a few minutes ago, I’d gotten out of what could’ve been a disastrous argument with a friend, and for the first time it turned out well without my botching it up. I think that’s a good sign!

I’m getting the hang of this. I think I’ll be ready to cross this off shortly.

Certain people just don’t get it, and it’s not completely my fault anymore. Especially since we already speak two of the same languages and the message still doesn’t get through! Or at least it doesn’t get through the way I mean it.
