I suppose if I am to relearn French I should start from the bottom. I took out a Berlitz book on French from the library and read and practiced the first few lessons. So for now I am having an easy time (though that probably won’t last!).
I also took out a book on Surrealist painter Rene Magritte and the book “Nausea” by Jean-Paul Sartre (both in English, obviously).
to express how much i have forgotten. i went to france two years ago and could barely translate menus… and just a few years prior i was a member of the french honor society. how embarrassing.
