Let's call it DONE!

I did a 10-day fast (find it at: http://www.ehow.com/how_12683_lemonade-fast.html) which I ended on Feb. 8 … I did it primarily as a “detox” for body and mind … but, it had the side benefit of making me lose 4 kilos – so I’m down to 77.5 Kg … I guess we can call htis item complete and DONE. I’m going to work on stabilizing at this new weight and then will work on losing another 3 or so kilos (max). Then, after that, it’s back to exercise for “buffing”!

Apples and walking

Down to 79.2 kilos – I guess that’s almost 2 kilos less so the walking and apples daily are working OK. More later.

Here's HOW!

How to Lose Weight
This review helps overweight people lose weight. Please consider reading and following these steps.

Steps
• Every day when you wake up, take a walk. The moment you wake, put on some clothes and take a nice walk. Shower when you are done. You’ll feel great and your metabolism will be kicked into gear for the day.
• Before each meal, eat an apple.
• The only snacks you are allowed to have are fruits and vegetables.
• Drink lots of water; a glass before every meal, and several throughout the day.
• Have a portion of dessert (don’t go crazy at the bakery!) every other day. A small bowl of ice cream is okay once a week.
• Train yourself to jog or walk long distances.
• Permit yourself to only one soda per day, maximum.
• Eat slowly – take time to enjoy your meals. This will help you to finish at the same time as others, and youll not be tempted by a second helping. Also, chewing more will ensure you get the most out of all the food and it will be digested faster.
• Learn more about the foods you eat. Look for foods that are low in saturated fats and refined sugar, and that provide carbohydrates based on whole grains and proteins. These will keep you feeling full for longer, and prevent blood sugar spikes and crashes.
• Eat four or five smaller meals a day, instead of three big ones. This helps your metabolism and blood sugar to stay level as well.
• Fast food is only allowed once per month.
• Train yourself to always leave half of the food on your plate, when you are at a restaurant. Bring it home for later, but don’t feel compelled to eat it all in one sitting. It’s usually way too much food for one meal.
• Change your routine. If you normally always stop to get a super caramel mocha latte and a cheese scone on the way to work, try making coffee at home before you leave the house, and nibble on a couple of slices of wheat toast. Jam is OK, as long as it’s not more than a teaspoon or so.

Tips
• Don’t go on one of those “fad” diets. Losing too much weight too quickly can lead to health problems.
• After one or two weeks of initial weight loss, it is quite common for your metabolism to slow down as it adjusts to the new calorie count. Don’t get discouraged and give up! Stay on course and you’ll see results.
• Allow yourself the treats like dessert and a little ice cream – if you try to avoid them altogether, you may find that your craving for them will break your will to stay on the diet.
• Weight loss is only a part of overall fitness and health. Keep your lifestyle centered around exercise and nutritious eating, and you’ll stay healthy.
• Talk to your doctor before starting any exercise program, to make sure there are no health risks you may be unaware of.
