own my own "green" house!

I don’t know exactly what it would look like, but it would have a rainwater capture for toilet flushing and a solid heat pump to heat and cool it… AND a lovely green roof where I would have a vegetable garden and grow my own fruits and veggies! Maybe a little yard, maybe near a park so the pooches and I could frolic NOT on the roof…
I’d have CFLs and LEDs and lovely faucet filters… bamboo floors with FLOR (check them out, awesome) rugs… Maybe recycled tile in the kitchen and bathrooms… :D I’m getting a bit too excited about this…
The worst thing about renting is that my landlord won’t fix the toilet (which wastes water by running constantly) or the faucets (leaking and causing the same problem) OR improve the insulation in the attic so I’m not forced to run the heat or AC all the time (a green roof would cover that nicely), OR get new windows instead of the leaky leaky ones on the flat right now… >:O Not to mention the 500 y.o. carpet and linoleum combo that is the present decor… sigh.
But SOMEDAY I will have my lovely green dream house. SOMEDAY!
