I cut my hair and now it sits right at/below my shoulders. I hated the layers and I had “holes” in if from going to so many different hairdressers. I finally found some one I like and my color is more or less under control. Now it is all one length and looks healthy and thick, so I can grow it out from here.

So my hair is still right above the tops of my sholder blades because my stylist convinced me to cut an inch because it is damaged….I fell like I am contantly having to cut the damaged ends and so it never gets longer! Also I am constantly cutting my bangs…I think I want to grow them out (again) but the last time I went in my stylist accidently cut them to short, so now they are just getting to be a decent length but far from the growing out stages. I don’t think I am going back to this girl again. She is a good colorist but not the best cutter.
I had to cut off an inch because my ends were so dry. My hair will be at a few inches past my shoulders forever! I want it to the bottom of my ribcage!
I’ve finally managed to stop dying it…my roots actually ended up matching very closely to my last dye job after it faded. And I have been getting trims less often. The harded part is trying not to blow dry and straight-iron it all the time. I have been getting better though, and I purchased dry shampoo so I don’t have to wash it everyday. I hope to have it to the bottom of my ribcage eventually.
I had a trim today by a friend who does hair. She told me my hair is NOT super damaged like I thought, just dry, and suggested a better shampoo. I spoke with my sister who has beautiful, golden, virgin hair, and she said it was now down to her bellybutton. Oh envy! My roots aren’t too noticable, so I have been considering going natural (to keep it healthy)...but seeing these blonde pics of me makes me want to go blonde again…sigh. Better take my hair vitamins!
So I have been making the extra effort to not straight iron, blowdry, or wash my hair every day. I made an appoinment to get my hair dyed and trimmed next Saturday. I want Travis to match my roots, so I can get back to my natural color and stop dying my hair. Then I can afford more regualr trims to keep it healthy. His cuts are supposed to be amazing, so I am excited. After having my stylist (best ever!) move to London, her reccomendation (co-worker) ruined my hair. I had to have the manager fix it. I still wasn’t satisfied, so I went to another place (3 times in one month)! However the last was WAY too expensive, over $300!!! So I’m hoping this new recommendation will live up to his reputation, and I can avoid anymore hair disasters and get on with this goal!
Got some really good hair/skin/nail viatamins at Whole foods…also have been laying off the straightening iron and hair dryer. My hair is starting to adjust to it’s naturally wavy state, and actually looks cute some of the time. Next time I got in to the salon, I plan to get my hair dyed as close to my natural root color as possible and do what my sister and I call “the half and half”: growing out your virgin hair from dyed hair. Hopefully the difference between the dyed hair and my natural color won’t be that dramatic for people to notice the “half and half” I have been dying my hair since 8th grade, and am sick of the expense and maintence. Hopefull it will be healthier too, and now I can just splurge on good cuts only. My hair is several inches past my shoulders, and I’l like to have it to the bottom of my ribcage someday…
