So here we go. In my experience learning French is extremely difficult. I started learning it in secondary school when I was 14, and somewhat kept up with the classes through high school and college (although I did only the minimum required in college).
Now I live in Luxembourg and I find myself in a situation where I can read and understand approximately 90% of written French but being completely out of it while hearing people speak. I need to do something about it. Seriously. I’m thinking about taking classes through my company, but due to work-related issues that would be at the earliest from the beginning of year 2012…
