In my opinion, the ultimate creatively inspired goal on 43T deserves it’s own entry.
create small pieces of art, and leave them for people to find

and it’s counterparts:
fold poems into origami and leave them on public transport:

write anonymous, loving post-its for strangers to find:

leave notes in library books:

make a stencil and go tagging:

There are a lot of goals that follow in this vein. Something for everyone!

43T in itself is full of creative inspiration. I originally wanted this goal to get me off the computer. But there are just so many beautiful, wacky, inspiring ideas out there. Set a time limit, otherwise it’s neverending. Some finds:
have a food fight

play silly word games

jump into a fountain

make origami wishing stars

create my very own secret garden

bury treasure and map it

42. Collect pictures of strangers, whether discards from a photo booth or old prints from a antique shop. Wonder about the lives behind the faces.
43. Go on a trip to the market and dip your hands into the sacks of rice. Involve all your senses.
44. Skip stones.
45. Using a voice recorder, collect sounds, such as laughter.
46. Take a piece of writing, like a letter, a poem, or part of a story, cut it up, and glue it back into a new piece of writing.
47. Record interesting little clips of television to give to others (like a visual version of the mix tape).
48. Find ways to help people realize their dreams; add some mystery by making your efforts anonymous.
49. Watch Amelie! If you’ve already seen it, watch it again, with the subtitles turned off.

37. Play your favorite childhood board game, like Snakes and Ladders, or Connect Four. If you’re feeling extra sassy, set it up on a busy sidewalk or cafe, and lure passersby in to join you.
38. Why limit carving to pumpkins? Try melons, avacados, green and yellow peppers…
39. Create a hopscotch board. Try it inside too! Use tape to draw the lines on the floor of an entrance or hallway. Play everytime you pass by.
40. Rearrange your books/clothes/pantry by colour. Okay so this is extensive. but it looks really pretty.
41. Always have ice cream and ice cream cones on hand. They’re perfect for sharing. Offer to guests, friends, neighbours… your landlord, the mailman…

visit the library! this sounds really basic, but it’s oh so fun. i usually go to the arts level and wander around until my arms are stacked with books and magazines. then i find a cozy spot, pull out my journal, flip through the books and record everything that makes me go hm.
i also love to wander into sections that i normally wouldn’t.
another idea is to go to the catalogue, do a search with a totally random word, then find the first three books on the list.

22. Find a terribly boring object. Stare at it for ten minutes. Draw it. Write about it. Embrace it. I was once instructed to sit in front of a white wall in a classroom, and draw exactly what I saw. I was surprised by all the tiny scratches and bumps that I otherwise would have overlooked.
23. Make a creative toolkit. Fill it with crayons, buttons, scraps of paper… anything that makes you want to create stuff.
24. Brainstorm a problem. Make a thought-web. Use lots of shapes and colours to make it fun and stretch your mind.
25. Connect things that are seemingly disparate. For example, how can a mustache and an electric mixer come together on the same page? how about spinach and crime? a butterfly and a bubble gum wrapper? Draw or write various scenarios.

21. Blow bubbles!
a. the dollar store: go buy the little plastic hot pink kit. use it often, display it proudly.
b. the classic: 4 1/2 cups water, 1/2 cup hand dishwashing detergent (add 1/2 cup of corn syrup or glycerin for stronger bubbles). try to make a wand with twist ties.
c. the quickie: while washing dishes, make an “o” shape with your forefinger and thumb, dip, blow a bubble!
d. the dinner table: use a straw to blow bubbles into your drink. forget etiquette.
e. the artsy: add paint or dye to your bubble mixture. let bubbles land on paper, pop, dry, and see what happens!
f. the tasty: buy some bubble gum. play with a friend. see who can blow the bigger bubble.
g. the big wig: buy a bubble-blowing machine. set it up on a balcony or roof-top and watch passers-by react.
