watched Into the Wild and that made me yearn for hiking sooo much! I want to attempt the month-long hike this summer. I’ve found a few trails in the alps that would be suitable. I’ll have to have a look whether anyone wants to accompany me (even if only for a part of the way). If not, I’ll do the solitary hike that’s also on my list first, to see whether I can stand it.

was about 10 days… I sort of dislike the first two or three days of hiking, when it still takes effort to walk with a backpack… – don’t get me wrong, it’s still worth it and I go on those short hikes frequently. But on the fourth or fifth day (or maybe even just after a week) hiking seems to just become so natural that it becomes very relaxing – probably because of the exercise, fresh air, the slow pace of life and scenery that makes me forget anything stressful I might have on my mind. I’m curious to know how I’d feel if I went hiking for a whole month.
