I’ve learnt so far how to say hello, tell people who I am, where I’m from and what I do. I’ve also started learning to build simple sentences like “I study in the library”. It’s fun, even though the vocabulary is really hard to memorise.

Korean 8 months ago

Now that I have plenty of time to waste (well, not exactly, I also have to study, study, study and write that term paper…) I decided to start learning some Korean. At the moment, I’m learning the alphabet by watching youtube videos (there are lots of videos that teach Korean, very cool).I might be able to take a language course at unversity either this or the next semester, too.

Which one? 15 months ago

I’ like to learn a language that is completely different from those I know so far (German, English, some Portuguese, Latin, Ancient Greek, basic French).

When I lived in New Zealand I had some Japanese and Korean friends who taught me a few words. I’ve wanted to learn one of those languages ever since. I’ve been watching some Japanese and Korean movies lately, which reminded me of that.

It’s hard to decide which language I should go for, but at the moment I don’t have the capacity to learn another language anyway, so I can ponder this question a lttle longer :)
