I think I’m doing pretty good with this one. I’m very conscious about drinking sodas before noon. When I get my breakfast in the mornings I go for OJ instead. I am beginning to see my taste for sodas curb, I’ve found myself drinking flavored water instead….so I just need to keep that habit up and I’ll finally be able to mark this one done.



Well.. 8 months ago

I was doing ok for the first few days, but the last 2 I’ve been kind of drowsy and out of tea. So, I had to break my rule and have 1 today and yesterday. Hopefully my new sleeping routine will kick and help me not be so tired starting my day out.



Starting small 8 months ago

On my road to making soda a treat and not a staple – I’ve decided to try to cut 1 soda out a day by not having any before noon. I’m doing a 10 day challenge to start and then I’ll add not having any after 7 to the mix along with the before noon rule.



Make soda a treat instead of staple 9 months ago

I think I need to make sodas a treat as opposed to a staple. I’ll try this at some point.



Drinking caffeine free 18 months ago

This is related to my desire to increase my energy levels. I read somewhere that caffeine can throw you off and I’m way off. So, I’m giving up the stuff…eventually. The Dumb Little Man blog had an article on how to break a soda habit. I’m already on my way to this…I’ve been drinking caffeine free Pepsis and Cokes and they are not half bad. They taste a lot like the originals…downside is no pick me up. I’m not crazy about diet soda, but caffeine free Diet Mountain Dews are tolerable and I’ve found that the Lipton Green tea drinks taste a whole bunch better than the first time I tried them. ...I just need to break my Sonic mixed drink habit and my fountain Dr. Pepper habit and I’ll be good :)
