Quick read aimed at helping pastor’s wives walk in their purpose and role as a “First Lady”. Although I’m not a pastor’s wife, I did find some good information in this book on how to walk in order and strongly as a Christian woman.
Loved this book. Simple, quick, to the point. Talks about making small changes and using 5 areas – choices, habits, etc… to increase your success. 4 stars out of 5.
I couldn’t let this year go by without reading a Jon Gordon book could I? :) These lessons in a novel are a little lame, but I enjoy them none the less. I like how this one goes deeper than just succeeding at the superficial things of life and real focusing on the core.
I’ll give it 4 stars out of 5.
The author is the founder of Chick Fil A. In this quick read he explains how Chick Fil A came to be and how it came to be successful. Cathy seems to keep it pretty simple when it comes to running a business; people, product, and purpose, honoring God, and helping people.
The authors describe this as a health novel. The story follows Karen an overweight mother w/ a crappy husband as she learns the Power of One Good Habit on the road to losing weight and gaining health. I picked up the book after watching Zonya Foco on a PBS special based on the 8 habits taught in this book. The habits sound good and easy to implement. http://waterwithlemon.com/
