see more live music

So, Arcade Fire just released their North American tour dates for Neon Bible and neither Edmonton, nor Calgary (or even Vancouver) is on the roster. Jerks!
The Shins are dissing everywhere but Toronto. I begrudge them less because they are not Canadian.

If I sound bitter, it’s because I am. I’m sure I could find some half decent acts if I dig around more and keep my ears open.

I would like to go to the Emily Haines concert on the 17th.
Unfortunately, I have a prior commitment that night. grrr.

Got tickets for the Neko Case concert on July 5. I have a huge girl crush on her right now. She has usurped Jenny Lewis.
For no particular reason, here is Neko telling telling a gross story about a giraffe. No, not that kind of gross, you sicko!

I’ve been slacking on this one – I haven’t even been seeing much classical and missed the ESO cello extravaganza last Sunday (no sarcasm). I could have gotten last minute tickets for the sold out Franz Ferdinand / DCFC on Tuesday but I was feeling blah and didn’t. Lame!
But I made it to the SO4 show last night. According to … um, some people these guys are going to be huge. They do put on a good show, and any live music that I can dance to is okay by me.
