I invited a bunch of the boy’s coworkers over for a dinner party. Well, strictly speaking, he invited them – but it was all my doing. The extra work (and stress!) wasn’t really what I needed this week and my menu was thrown off a twice due to unexpected allergies/ dietary constraints. But it was a success overall. Yay!

I’ve got the whole recently-moved-to-a-new-city-not-in-school-anymore thing going on, with a healthy dose of four-of-my-five-coworkers-are-decades-older-than-me and a splash of I-need-to-get-out-more to boot.
I’m a friendly person, I’ll talk to anyone and get along with pretty much everyone. But I’m not really meeting a lot of people right now and have a hard time taking aquaintances to the next level when I do…
