The other day in (bikram) class I set up in the front row as always, but inadvertently right in the centre, so the instructor was about 2’ away from my face for, like, half the class (okay, maybe more like 3’). This made me really nervous for some reason and I almost had a fit of giggles during pranayama. Not one of my better sessions.
Yesterday, however, I barely even felt the heat, didn’t fall out during my arch nemesis (pun intended) standing bow pulling pose and generally had the best. class. EVAH!

Other than my two 90-minute practices a week at the studio, I have had a standing (or should I say stretching?) date with Rodney Yee every day. I know – lucky him, eh?
Last week I only managed 20 minutes each morning, but I’ll try to make it a half hour from now on.
Not sure if I should count last night’s, as H. joined me and inevitably hilarity ensued.

This next month promises to be my most stressful yet since starting this job – coming from someone who already puts in 50-60 hours a week and is still behind in her work.
I think this is a great time to start this goal. I aim to do two practices a week at my studio, and the rest at home with a book/dvd, preferably first thing in the morning.

The bikram studio I go to periodically does 30 day challenges (next one starts Feb 14th), which I really want to try. But I don’t see myself ever having time for as each practice takes a good three hours out of my day.

Any suggestions for good (non-bikram) DVDs that I could use to supplement my practice?
