bake more bread, cookies, cake, brownies

last night i baked brown bread for robert and i. robert only eats brown bread. it was mt first time ever making bread on my own.

i made two loaves. one plain big brown bread loaf for robert. one small loaf with grated orange rinds and poppy seeds.

the bread turned out ok, for my first attempt. the outer crust was a bit hard, too hard at the bottom, but the inside was soft and fluffy. so last night robert and i had a bread party.

robert even took half his loaf today to work for his lunch. :)

good start, i think.

laszlo baked bread for lesh’s party on saturday night. he made a lovely big loaf of bread, crusty on the outside, soft and warm in the inside. he’d sprinkled bits of ginger and nuts and we ate the bread with various cheese and pesto.

so i am going to start baking bread. i will make orange bread with poppy seeds. yummm…

i hope this becomes a regular thing, baking bread, as we love bread and eat quite a bit of it… i love going down to the bakery on saturday mornings and getting a fresh loaf of brown bread. :-)
