become and active pta member

so…i didn’t actively ‘participate’ in the pta this year either. i know, total disappointment. but i did volunteer in my sons kindergarten class once a week for the second half of the year. and i did become a member of the school site council and attended all the meetings. now, next year my oldest will be in 7th grade a whole new school. so, that means two ptas…yikes!

and i have yet to become “involved”. sure i write the checks and dump off supplies for various events, but i never actually “volunteer” my time. i would really like to get more involved…mainly because i want to be friends with other parents…i think it’s important for my children that i’m more connected with what is going on with their school.
