play baseball with my family every 4th of July

I brought the balls and bases this time, nobody brought a bat. Since it wasn’t my house we BBQ’d at, it was a little more difficult to plan for, so instead we played washers. I guess it will suffice ;0)

We played softball in the back field, with family from 3 to 40 years old out there. Granted we got rained on and it got dark before we could finish, but we did it!!!

We’ve had a hard time making our own traditions fit in with everyone else’s plans on most holidays, but this one is pretty portable and it was huge fun at our BBQ last year. Maybe I’ll start a trend for my immediate family, traditions that we can continue no matter the location so there’s one less thing to stress over about holidays as they get older :)
