move to arizona

Sorry that you are so damn closed minded to appreciate the influx of people moving to Arizona.. but what makes you so great to think that just because you were born there, you are the only one who deserves to be there? Maybe if you don’t enjoy living in such a large metropolitan, you should move to a smaller town, or out of the state completely. Arizona is a beautiful state, and I have been there several times now. And if I, or anyone else with aspirations and goals feels like moving there to better themselves or their lives, they should do it. Any place worth moving to is obviously going to have many drawing points, so if you live there you already know that. And it shouldn’t suprise you that so many people want to be there.

Speaking to the rising cost of homes, etc. It’s called cost and demand, and a little lesson in economics and inflation would do you just fine. I obviously don’t know you, but perhaps you don’t work in an industry in which you get pay increases that correlate with inflation quite like other jobs, like low skill, low education jobs. Sorry for you if that’s the case. Obviously you don’t own your own home, either, because if you did, then the rising cost of homes would make you HAPPY, because you would be building equity in it.

So, quick frankly I think you are rude, not only for posting that, but for sending me a personal message saying Missouri is where I belong. You also sound VERY uneducated. You don’t know me, or where I belong, so please mind your own business in telling me not to move to Arizona. Although it was a little rainy, we had another great trip to Phoenix/Tempe. The girl we stayed with, Karen, has a beautiful apartment close the Mill, so we walked down every day to Starbucks. We spent our days laying out, shopping, and relaxing, and the nights partying it up. Karen works at a club in Scottsdale so we got the VIP treatment. Good times.

Leaving two weeks from tommorrow! I’m so excited, time to get in last-minute shape again!

My college roommate wants to go back again for Spring Break, which is just over a month away, and I think we’re going to do it!! I am so excited to go back!! The plane ticket is just about $300 and we would stay with her friend out there, so there is no hotel cost. Just a week of laying in the warm sun, eating good food, shopping, and being with friends. I’m ridiculously excited right now!

I have been there twice, both on Spring Break. The first time I went to see my (then) boyfriend. Then, I went with my roommate to visit friends she has out there (definately not to see my ex). I LOVE everything: the palm trees everywhere you turn, the nightlife, the sun, the shopping, the culture and architecture. I love that I can use the Spanish I spent six years studying in everyday life.

My problems and obstacles:
- I don’t really know anyone out there, except my ex and his friends.
- I have a boyfriend here who I love so much, but who is about to graduate college and get a job here in Missouri.
- I will miss my family terribly
- I dont’ have a job or connection out there.. I don’t know what I would “do” when I got there!
- I think people would assume that I would be going out there to see my ex, which is rediculous, but we were together for 4 years

Things on my side:’
- I’m 21, not married, and fresh out of college
- I have a significant amount of money saved up
- My family and friends would support me (for the most part)

I feel like its something that I have really wanted to do for three years now, but I haven’t had the courage to do it. If you don’t do something like this when you’re young, when will you ever get the chance to do it??
