Dear self,

you cannot complete this goal if you keep on getting books from the library.

love,

me

Finished

Life of Pi is complete, I have moved on to read “Vanishing Acts”, another Picoult book I have yet to read.

Life of Pi

It is such a cute book. I love it so far! Piscine has such an interesting perspective on religion. I envy him for being so open to all religions.

I just got to the ocean part, so I’m about a hundred pages in.

fail.

yes, fail. I was reading “Desperation” and I was about 100 pages to go and I was all, “I don’t like this book” so now I have to start a new one. Which will probably be a Jodi Picoult one because I miss her books. ANYWAY. Yeah, I have to get working on this goal. I was hanging out all week, I had every opportunity to read a book.

Recently joined...

goodreads.com. I’m coming across a lot of books that I read when I was like eight that I barely remember. I’m glad I joined, it’ll keep my mind organized and I’ll especially look at what I need to read next. Desperation is currently being read, and next is either Jane Eyre or The Memory Keeper’s Daughter… something.

Finished

The Harlan Coben book. It was so good! I recommend it. It has so many twists and turns. It’s kind of slow at the beginning but it transforms into this amazing book that you don’t see a lot of it coming. It’s called “Hold Tight”, incase anyone wants to look into it.

I started “Desperation” by Stephen King. It’s kind of weird at the moment…

Summer.

This is good. With the Summer around, I can read more. The trouble is, I get books to read from my grandma and aunt. They’ve already read the books that they give my mom and I to read, but I feel the need to read them and give them back as quick as possible. I’ve read a few books in my pile. I have to finish that huge Chronicles of Narnia series and a few others I told myself I was going to read like.. three years ago.

Right now I’m reading Harlan Coben’s, “Hold Tight”. I’ve already had a nightmare that someone was being killed. Blah. I love books, hehe.

Only books...

.. I have been reading lately are textbooks! I’m so bogged down with reading for school that I’ve barely had time to read a book. I’m rereading chapters for AP Euro so I guess that counts as reading but still, it’s for school and I have so many books to read. Sighs.

The book I was last reading wasn’t too good anyway. Went into too much detail. But I really do need to find my way again.

I just wish there was more time to do it.

Uh oh.

My birthday was a couple weeks ago and my friend surprised me today with a gift card to Barnes and Nobles. Not I have about sixty dollars worth at Barnes and Nobles.

I should tell everyone I hate reading, so I can finish off the pile of books I already have without being tempted to go out and buy more. =P

Why is this so difficult?!

Because dammit, there’s so many good books in the world that I feel the need to get them all so I can read them in the future and not worry about the books I already have. And a year ago my grandma gave me a book of my great-grandmother’s and I have yet to read that.

Shame on me.
