So when I finally get the chutzpah to ask a guy to Prom, what happens? He says “idk.” God. That’s one way to get discouraged. I’m not giving up; I’m determined to get a date for Prom. However, something like that really sets me back because I gave him time.

Advice: Should I wait any longer for him to mull it over or was a yes/no answer necessary? Prom, by the way, is not until May.

Feeling better

I’m starting to feel better about this. As soon as I drop my last ten pounds I think I’ll feel confident enough to give this a try. I like a few guys, but I have a problem: I commit myself to someone that already has a significant other. I find them attractive. Why can’t I find a decent, single guy around here? =[ I’m not limiting myself to my town, but I didn’t realize it would be so difficult.

Okay, I've gotta do this

I’ve never even had a boyfriend before. But I feel like if I don’t go looking for him, he won’t come looking for me. As cliche as it may sound, I have always been quite the traditionalist. I want the guy to ask the girl out. But I suppose if that isn’t happening right now, I have to take matters into my own hands.

I just have to get a little more confidence before this goal is actually completed.
