Marking this done. I’ve gotten remarkably better since last Summer and I’ve proven that with my games, through practices, etc. When I lost my weight, I gained speed on my feet and it turned out my limits weren’t even close to what I was running. It turned out great in the end and I’ve gotten so much better, so I’m marking this done =]

I did great for my first house game. I ran when I had to, helped my team a lot, and my dad even said I “blended right in”. This makes me so happy because obviously I’ve been contemplating whether or not to try out for varsity for the Fall season. I’m going to continue with the next couple teams we still need to face and go off from there. If I’m totally comfortable, then why not?
Missed practice last week, unfortunately, but shit happens. I asked my dad about travel soccer at the end of the season, and his input was that I didn’t do it because I don’t want to weigh myself down with more than I can handle for the 2009 school year. I couldn’t help but agree..
But hopefully I’ll be good enough and satisfied enough for varsity this Fall. Only two teams left and then I’ll figure out if I want to do it or not..
I decided I will either A) Go all the way this year or B) Settle for less but be okay with it.
Going all the way, if I notice that I have good talent playing with under 18 year olds for the Rec league. If not, less is okay with me because at least I know I tried and if I know I can’t do it, I’m not going to push myself to do it. I’ll just stay on JV another year and I’ll be content with that =]
I made up my mind a long time ago. At least I’m not rushing into anything.
I think of track as a conditioning for soccer. Right after the season ended, I chose to join track to prepare for all the running I’ll have to do during the Summer/Fall season for soccer. I played goalie and defense and although there’s not much running I can do to improve for goalie, I really wish to step on the fullback side.
Maybe it’s the pressure of being goalie but everytime I think about it, I get that butterfly feeling in my nerves.
It’s so weird.
Ohh boy. So I played soccer in the Summer and I’m looking to make Varsity this Summer for the Fall season but to do that, I really need to step up my game! It’s Winter now, and I’m practicing in the basement haha and trying to break anything, but I’m really working on my footwork and am really willing to try some new things with the soccer ball.
So hopefully things will turn out better for me once I start working harder. Any ideas would be appreciated =] Or better yet, a training schedule?
