be a singer

My last entry was over a year ago! Im almost 17 now and well…im not going to say that NOTHING has happened, because it has, but you know…no great career moves.
Im studying Music at higher level for the International Baccalaureate. My primary instrument is voice. I take singing lessons every saturday. I got the lead part in a musical at my school which will be in December. I’m planning on studying composition and performance in college. These are my stepping stones.

Everyone is saying how they really want to be a singer, and obviously i dont know how badly they REALLY want it. Anyway i’m not here to judge. Point is, ever since i was literally 4, i’ve been singing because it just felt so good. Its my favorite thing to do, it’s my talent, it makes me feel special, self-confident, etc. Ive just KNOWN since ive been 5 that i want to be a professional singer. Christina Aguilera is my ultimate inspiration, ive been to three of her concerts.. I’m almost 16 now, and people are like: “i know you want to be a singer, but what do you REALLY want to be” A SINGER!!! I take it very seriously. I’m even taking Music High as my finals (IB). I perform whenever and wherever i can and my family is dead supportive of me and theyre the only ones (apart from my teachers) who take me seriously. Not to show off or anything, but ive been told since i was a wee little girl that i had a gift. I have a dream to become a singer, and its the only thing i want. I just dont know what to do to take it one step further…I live in Vienna, Austria, by the way. I’ve performed tens of times in school, a couple of times in bars and clubs…what can i do to get closer to my dream?? I dont want to be an old hag when i reach my goal. Well, as long as i reach it :) The younger the better anyway. Any advice??!
