1. I went for a long walk to the drycleaners and back with Claire. I need to get out and walk more. It felt great and I love having that quiet time to myself. I like checking out the houses on the way and planning things to do to my house.
2. Fun evening with Andrew. Barry got out the Mario Kart wii game and I tried it with Andrew on my lap. I’m horrible at video games, they stress me out. We laughed at how many times I died in the Mine Race.
3. I baked cookies for Andrew’s Thanksgiving feast at Daycare. I couldn’t think of a “Thanksgiving” cookie, so I make Sugar Spritz cookies in the shape of pumpkins in the cookie press. I let Andrew try one after dinner and he didn’t like it. It’s like shortbread, an acquired taste. Hopefully the rest of the school doesn’t feel the same way. Oh, why didn’t I just make chocolate chip cookies? Easier and everyone loves them.

1. We made it to church! It is still a miracle if we can all make it out of the house without starting WWIII! I packed the diaper bag the night before and laid out all the clothes.
2. We left both kids in the nursery. Erin, my friend who works there, was thrilled to take care of Claire. Another couple joined us in our pew and they have the one other child in nursery that is Andrew’s age. Elise is a beauty, but I’ve never heard her talk.
3. We went to brunch after church. I was good and got an omlette instead of a pancake. When we got home, it was naptime for Andrew and I. What a relaxing day!
1. I took Andrew to the Holiday Parade in Royal Oak. I we met X, his mom, dad and L. Andrew had to sit on my shoulders to see. Barry was home with Claire. I think Andrew had fun. He always seems so somber in crowds and new experiences.
2. Andrew was definately happy when we went to wash my car. I was happy because I got it detailed and I finally got the road salt off the carpets. (just in time to get more on them:) Our car wash has a waiting room with windows to watch the cars go through the washer.
3. I went with Lee Ann to a pampered Chef party at her friend’s house. The consultant was my old consultant. It was great to see her and fun to get out of the house. I used to sell Pampered Chef and I love to see the new products. It’s sad that it has been so long that many of my products have been redesigned…
1. It is really on my mind lately that I only have two weeks until I return to work. Oh, why don’t we live across the river in Canada so I could have a year off?! I am having fun figuring out the new schedule and looking forward to the routine of work, though. (sick, I know, I’m really anal!)
2. I got Andrew dressed before he left his room in the morning. We’ve gotten in the bad habit of letting him watch Curious George in his PJs and then having massive fits when he needs to get dressed. I want him dressed before tv when I go to work. It went wonderfully this morning…
3. Extra snuggles while feeding Claire. Soon enough, I’ll only be able to give her one or two bottles a day. I might be fighting with her dad for the 9pm bottle, but I know the 5 am is all mine:)
1. The outpouring of love for my younger cousin, Nikki. She had a molar pregnancy and had to have a D&C today. We are waiting to see if it’s all cleared up and hoping it isn’t cancerous. Scary and heartwrenching. I can’t imagine loosing a pregnancy.
2. Playdate with X and his baby brother, L. When X was leaving, Andrew asked if he could take his nap and climbed into bed! I told LeeAnn they could come over any time!
3. After nap, I wanted to take A to the teacher store to pick out reward stickers. (we need to fix the am fits). Andrew did not want to go. To the toy store. Are you crazy, boy? It was so funny!
1. Claire’s 2month checkup. 10 lbs 14oz. 50 percentile. I’m very pleased, but a little surprised. She doesn’t seem that big. Dr also agreed we can drop the midnight bottle!
2. Megan was here to watch Claire while I ran errands. I only managed to ship a package before i got a call with Claire screaming in the background. I’m glad M called me instead of them both suffering. (she was hungry an hour early:)
3. Discussing the need for a date night. Trying tofigure out who to trust with both kids.
1. I tried to make this a low key day for Claire. I did manage to go to the bank to request a new debit card.
2. I changed the sheets on all of the beds and swiffered the whole house. I’ve been bad about weekly cleaning lately.
3. Good evening with the kids, then my husband:). It’s hard to convince Claire why her parents need her to sleep;)
1. I sent a coffee cake to daycare with Andrew. His teachers both had birthdays this week. I’m impressed that I noticed and pleased I was able to help celebrate.
2. Claire and I picked up Andrew at 12:30 to drive to Kalamazoo. Andrew was all ready to go, but Claire chose that moment to have a blowout. This kills my “always on time” personality:)
3. I was able to relax and readjust when Andrew woke up halfway thru the drive and started acting up. We stopped at a mall in Battle Creek and played with a cool thing that you put coins in and watch them spin ‘round and ‘round. (smart idea…think of all the coins they collect;) We also bought some pretzel sticks and got back in the car. Andrew was much better after that.
4. Those silly farmers by my parent’s house were harvesting seed corn. Quite a gamble, but the weather cooperated. Andrew was beside himself watching the machinery.
5. I love how much Andrew loves my parents. I really wish they were closer.
1. We woke up at my parents and I was greatful that we didn’t drive out on Saturday. Andrew had a wonderful morning and truely loves his grandparents.
2. We got everyone out the door to visit my aunt and uncle. We drove over there (approx 30 min.) then realized I forgot the dress that was the main reason for visiting. It was great to see them again, anyway.
3. It was funny how the day didn’t feel like it was flying by, but I was surprised everytime I looked at the clock. I think it was because I wasn’t counting down to bedtime:)
1. We made it to church almost on time. It was amusing to see all of the hunters parked on the side of the highway waiting for deer season to begin today (gun season). November 15 is opening day and a major occurance in West Michigan. (we were visiting my parents near Kalamazoo)
2. Church with my two little ones really made me appreciate our nursery at our church at home. I didn’t hear a word of the service. I was, however, impressed with the activity bags that were handed out to the kids. Pipecleaners are very entertaining!
3. Both children slept the whole three hour car ride home!
4. As soon as I got home I unpacked and did laundry while Barry played with Andrew. i did some prep work for dinner, too. Wow, I felt so organized.
