Get a tattoo

We just found out our first cat is dying. Sad but a part of life. She’s had a good life with us, and she’s enrished our life with her time here. We’ve both benefitted. Still, I’d love to do this before she goes.

I’ve been sitting on this for a couple of months, but want to wait close to a year to make sure it’s what I really want and not a passing fancy. The longer I go, the more excited about it I get.

I want to get paw prints of my cats and get tattoos of them on my side. One paw for each cat, sort of walking up my side.

I figure a tattoo is a big part of a life and lasts forever (usually) and my cats are a big part of my life. While they won’t last forever, my connection with them always will.

In a way, the tattoos are a symbolic link of our souls.
