starting again seriously December 26th. I feel very motivated now—for all kinds of reasons.

Seriously, the only reason I want to lose weight is to have energy to do the things I want to do—like keep Cinnie on a regular walk schedule and be more light and fluid in the saddle. That had better be motivation enough since i am with someone who loves me at any size.
Guess I am looking for the motivation….

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life—I want to do this. There are so many things that I still want to do in my life that requires stamina ;)
I’ve been struggling for a while with this. All the travel plus the back and forth on house hunting trips and the chaos of the move has easily packed 10 pounds back on. My portions have been haywire and I have also been exercising irregularly.
But now me (and my stuff) is all in one place, I have signed up for a fitness and nutrition assessment at work. I plan to take full advantage of the facilities. My counselor is supposed to help me design a program that I may also take on the road with me. I’m looking forward to it. I have huge ambition for my life, not necessarily all work related, but the foundation for it all is energy and a fit body. I’ve been feeling very tired and sluggish recently and have a feeling that if I don’t get this in check, it is only a downward slope from here.
I also have an additional motivation and that is keeping my dog, Cinnamon, fit. She has hip dysplasia and needs to keep her muscles tight and flexible to compensate. Regular, long slow walking (besides swimming) is supposed to be the very best thing I can do for her.

Ok, after weeks, nay, months, of glorious decadence and self indulgence, it is D day again tomorrow. Back on track. I need to keep a food diary, regardless of whether my fickle friends keep theirs or not. Same goes with tracking expenses. It is the only way to become conscious of what I am putting in my mouth….and taking out of my purse!
