Go on a date

I have been single for a while and some of the married girls at work are starting to make me their pet project. They want to find me a date (or so I have been told). It has been fun hearing about these ladies trying to find me the right girl. In a small town there is not a lot of choices and the ladies at my work are very selective as they do not believe that any girl is “good enough” for me to which I say HOLD ON b/c I want to go on a date not an arranged marriage! But at least they are trying:)

OMG I might be set up on a date… I can hardly even operate thinking about it. They wanted to send me out tonight but I totally chickened out…I hope I give in next time!

I have not gone on a first date in a long time but I have been going out with friends a lot and having a blast. I haven’t felt a lot of pressure to get out there and find someone new. I wish this village was not so small if I am seen with anyone here the rumour is spread with in a week that I am now dating her even if she is married. crazy how small villages seem so desperate to have some soap opera in their own town. You would think that they would all appreciate that with so few people in town we all need to be friends instead of rumour mills. But that is not true for most of the people in the village only a few. So I need to go on a first date with someone new who I do not already know. I want to go on a blind date I would totally dig that!

I have not been on a real date in ages I have gone out with friends or been on friend dates but not with a girl that I haven’t known and where I am getting to know about her. I want those beginning conversations where you learn about their family and interests and goals. I want to be intrigued and to be asked different questions. I want to meet someone totally out of the blue and just ask them to coffee and go from there. This is crazy I know but what the heck it is what I want to do.
