do more art

so i just enrolled in an intro to Black & White photography class at my local community college! so i think i’ll finally have this one under control :)

the only thing i’m missing in high school is a real art program. it’s funny, you know, i switch to a performing arts school that has concentrations in the Media Arts, but the only classic arts classes they have is Drawing. and it’s less than mediocre, at best. we have no real art room. no painting. i can imagine they’d die if we did linoleium blocks…

and the thing that proves they really dont care about my kind of art? well, i’m literally the best in my class, hands down. and the teacher is young and inexperienced, and i feel like i’m in my 7th grade art class again where even the talentless kids have to participate.

at seneca i was middle/high-range in quality of work. i had competition there. hah.

but i really want to do another oil painting. i want to do something like a self portrait with my black and white photograph of me in that hat. i really do miss doing real art.
