grow a garden

Got my seeds in the mail today! Next step is to figure growing days, so I can start some seeds indoors in small start up pots…

now to find a spot in my window ledges…hummm….

it snowed…so I ordered seeds

Last nite I actually sat down w/ my 4 year old & made a list of the veggies we want to plant…we are in zone 4 & it is still less than 20 degrees here most days (Minneapolis)...so, it’s going to be awhile before we can actually get out & dig in the dirt…but at least we have our list:

• Carrots
• Beets
• Tomatoes
• Lettuce
• Cucumbers
• Pumpkin (grow our own for Halloween!) try white ones
• Peas
• Onions
• Some Herbs

He wants to grow some Kiwi, but I tried to explain that it’s too cold here…

I have 2 tomato plants started in the window already…they look pretty good…amazing…

I think later this week, I will see about ordering seed packets from Burpee or somewhere…
