Drive across the USA

This summer my mom is driving my brother’s Subaru (which would have been mine next) out to Colorado where we spend our summers, and driving my dad’s old Toyota Land Cruiser back to NY for me at the end of the summer, so I’ll get it for the next two years :) hopefully more. It would be a killer car to take a road trip in.
I can’t wait to get in it a blast some Tom Petty…

I live in NY (which I don’t really like), but I’m originally from California (which I miss b/c I haven’t been back in something like 7 years), so my ultimate road trip would begin at my house, right on the East Coast, and end up at the beach in San Francisco. It would be the ultimate end to an epic journey. OK… idk if I should call it an “epic journey”, but an definitely an exciting trip. Of course I wouldn’t really finish once I got there; I also want to hike the Pacific Crest Trail (staring at the southern end of the Sierra Nevadas and hiking all the way north to the Washington/Canada border).
So in total, it would take me somewhere around 4 months :) I wish I had that kind of time… maybe after HS and college.
