I did a 26 mile charity bike ride last weekend and yesterday a friend and I went on a 13 mile ride. We’ve decided now that the weather is about to cool down that we’re going to start making this a weekend routine.
ALSO, I have a new job that is within an easy riding distance for me. I’m going to try commuting to work by bike as much as possible once summer is over.
It was so gorgeous out that I just had to get the ol’ Trek out for a ride. It needed some air in the tires and needs a tune-up pretty badly. I had a nice ride though – I think it was 2 miles and something :) I also found a trainer at the gym I work out at that rides and I offered him a massage in exchange for a tune-up. He says he’s game and will come by and pick up my bike one day this week. Yay! I’ve also befriended a friend of my brother who wants to do more riding on the bike trail on the parkway and exchanged phone numbers. I see my bike getting much more use in the near future…
