Damn, I must be getting too old. Long string of injuries… back, hip, and now my knee (again). I feel like I am breaking down.
Yesterday was a first, a new low point….. My wife out climbed me in a rather dramatic fashion. She just looked back at me as she pulled away and said, “You’re my bitch!” Ouch!
I must stop the injuries and get some fitness!

I love these! SPD cleats and Keen comfort…. But best of all… They come in a size 14 and most SPD touring shoes DON’T.

I so need one of these “Spaceman Flask Cages”! What ride could not be improved with a little libation?
I ordered the flask / cage combo and I will be installing it on my Surly “Long Haul Trucker” touring bike, on the lower third bottle mount.
Cheers!

I love riding bicycles with my wife, but the tandem makes it even better. We work together as one, united by the tandem. We chat, we joke, we flirt….. We ride, together. Very romantic, in a sort of “velo way”.

Six weeks and 1,872 miles later. What a bicycle ride, I feel like I have returned from visiting another world. It was like being homeless for six weeks.

After Elvis died I got on my bike and started pedaling. 129 miles Sunday, 130+ miles Monday (my bike computer died), 139 miles Tuesday, and today I made it to 82 miles and hit the wall. I had to call my wife to come pick me up on some remote country road.
I just sat on the side of the road letting the drizzle wash over me. Now I’m sick and 13 lbs lighter, but my head is clear.

She tries so hard and never gives up. Yesterday we did a flat 30 miler and she held my wheel for the whole ride. Average speed 23.1 mph, Max speed 33.3 mph. She suffered, but she never gave up. She is a soldier, a velo-godess!
Plus she looks so hot in her lycra!

I’m a zombie…..
2 days and I watched 11 hours of the 2006 Tour de France + 6 hours of the 2006 Giro d’Italia. I’m starting to speak like Phil Liggett….”He is stretching the elastic!” “They are suffering the pain of a thousand deaths!”
Holy Crap! I MUST turn it off, but I can’t stop!
