start wearing my bike helmet

I gave my helmet away! I HATE wearing a helmet.

I just can’t stand riding with a helmet. I wear my helmet maybe 25% of the time, but I’ll keep trying.

When the temp starts to hit 113F this summer, I can’t even imagine having a helmet on!

UPS will be delivering my new lid Friday. I ordered a Rudy Project “Kontact” in white with red & blue accents.

The only time that ever wear a helmet is when I am forced to wear one, either racing or on some sort of sponsored ride. When forced, I usually resort to wearing my old Rudy Project soft foam helmet (circa 1996 Giro d’ Italia). The old Rudy Project sets the officials off, “You can’t wear that!”

This season I want to change. I am going to give it a try and wear a “real” bike helmet and I am going to wear my helmet on all my rides. I have been hit by cars, trucks and speeding dogs… and I have always walked away semi-unhurt. I have had some massive spills… I may have broken some bones, but I never hit my head.

I feel like my luck may be running out. I ordered the helmet today!
