I really suck. 12 months ago

1. Not be so damn hard on myself
I think I need to be harder on myself in order to complete these very simple tasks. It’s pathetic that this goal is still here. But I swear right after Babybutt was born it was hard to do anything for myself… it’s getting better now.

2. Start eating healthier
Totally suck here. I really need to change this around if not for my sake but for Babybutt’s sake.

3. Exercise every day
Yeah, this isn’t going to happen any time soon. I don’t get how people with kids get this in? I started to exercise 30 minutes on the treadmill but with Babybutt not napping much that flew out the window.

4. Take better care of my skin
I bought a nice moisturizer and I’ve started to use it. I need to get back to moisturizing everything else. My hands are so dry they hurt.

5. Drink more water
Was doing well up until a few weeks ago. I’ll refocus starting tomorrow.

6. Floss
I go back and forth with this one. I’ll start being more diligent tomorrow.

1. Not be so dang hard on myself
I think I am doing well with this one and then WHAM! I let the way other people feel effect me too much, I think.

2. Start eating healthier
I’m paying attention to what I eat and what I put into my body more than I ever have my entire life.

3. Exercise every day
Excellent! I have this one down pat. For the past three months I’ve exercised for two hours every single day and I’d say I skipped three days in the past 90 days.

4. Take better care of my skin
I still am not sure what I am aiming for. I wash my face and moisturize twice a day. I have started to put lotion on my legs after shaving. I would like to put lotion on every time I exit the shower. I’ve stopped picking at my face. So I think the biggest thing I need to work on is moisturizing my hands, legs and my entire body.

5. Drink more water
I’m getting my eight glasses of water in again! Whew! I started using the Crystal Light powders (10 calories a pack) and it’s been a HUGE help.

6. Floss
Whoops. I’ve stopped. I need to buy some Glide floss and then I will start again. The cheap kind we have hurts when I floss.

Apparently I’m taking better care of myself than I knew! I got my cholesterol report back today and the results are phenomenal! I would really like to take some credit for this even though my head is telling me “it’s all hereditary.” But I have to be doing something right, right? It’s part diet, weight, hereditary and exercise. Reading that sentence again I have no idea how I did so well. Heh.

Here are my scores:
Total Cholesterol is 133! (should be below 200)
Triglycerides is 108! (should be under 200)
Good Cholesterol is 47! (should be over 45)
Bad Cholesterol is 64! (should be under 160/130/100)

As for the other things I’m working on:
1. Not be so dang hard on myself
Depends on the day. Needs work. Today is a good day!

2. Start eating healthier
I’m trying to get more fruits and veggies in as well as follow the Weight Watchers program which means eating LESS.

3. Exercise every day
Doing very well with this at 30 minutes a day at least. I aim for 60 minutes but when time is short or I really don’t want to, I do 30 minutes.

4. Take better care of my skin
This one is okay. I want to write something up about this so I know what I’m aiming for.

5. Drink more water
Just started this past week to get at least a liter of water in. Doing okay. Next week: two liters!

6. Floss
I’m doing this too!

1. Time will only tell on this one.

2. Working on eating healthier! No sweets last month and this month I want to eat either a fruit or a veggie every single day. Today I cooked broccoli on the stove. Yum. This may be one of the few veggies I actually like.

3. I am exercising every day! I only forgot one day in January and it wasn’t because I didn’t want to exercise, I really forgot. Then I was sick for a few days there, but otherwise I exercised for at least 30 minutes every single day!

4. The skin care is okay. Needs work. I’m trying not to pick and I think I did a good job with this in January.

5. FAILING with water, but I can’t get enough juice right now.

6. Flossing every day and only missed when I was sick. Go me!
