i’ve only driven stick 4 or 5 times, with too much time in-between trying. my boyfriend’s younger brother is learning to drive stick, and i’ve asked him to teach me (i figured it will make him feel more grown up and such). i tried a few weeks ago, got into second, and only stalled a couple of times. i was nervous, but excited, and think i could drive stick in a dire situation!
but i need to keep practicing so i can do it without freaking out :)

I’ve driven stick a few times in a clunky old car that didn’t reach first and my boyfriend’s car. Since my boyfriend has an old porsche he adores, I don’t practice in it (for fear of destroying it!) but I would still really like to hone my skills, and not be so slow and nervous when shifting.
This goal may take some time, seeing as I have no manual car to practice on…but I hope to drive stick well some day :)
