If your just a little shy, get hobbies. The gym, school and meetup.com is where I found like minded groups. Many of us open up when we have questions and as you get better, you have advice to share. If it is too serious to get hobbies, a couple things you can do are to see a counselor, exercise or do research on coping with stress to resolve the underlying issue. Many people drink or take pills, please try other things, because the potential for dependence is really high combined with social anxiety. Good luck!
