the last straw

So I showed up at my doctor’s office today for my 1:30 appointment only to find out that she’s on vacation and her secretary never bothered to let me know that my appointment had been canceled.
This isn’t the first time that this has happened (its happened at least twice and I’ve only been seeing her for 2 years). And that, coupled with the fact that this doctor is always running late (one time I waited 3 hours to see her!), means that I just need to bite the bullet and get a new doctor.
It was fine when I thought I was only going to be living here for 2 years, but now that it looks like I may be here for quite some time, I think it is time to do it.
