#63 of 100 things that make me happy 1 year ago

63. The Sims 2 (and it’s 80 million expansion packs)—This game makes me happy. It’s too addictive.

#62 of 100 things that make me happy 1 year ago

62. Taking photographs—I recently got into doing it again, and I forgot how much I LOVE taking pictures.

#61 of 100 things that make me happy 2 years ago

61. Literary Quotes—I could literally read nothing but quotes all day long. The quotes in the side bar might be why I like this site so much.

56-60 things that make me happy 2 years ago

56. Deadwood—The show, not the town. It teaches me all the best new ways to use my favorite expletives.

57. Cherry Airheads—Quite possibly the best non-chocolate candy in the world.

58. Getting books in the mail from other bookcrossers—It feels like Christmas.

59. VH1—Yeah, I know. Very little music, but very amusing shows. I love the 70’s anyone?

60. History—It fascinates me for some reason. I can never get enough of it.

52-56 things that make me happy 2 years ago

Latest entry is all music inspired.

52. Aidan Hawken—His voice is amazing. I’m loving how he’s Simon and Garfunkle-ish one minute (re: Crush) and then he’s rocker boy Aiden the next (re: Wherever You Are).

53. She Wants Revenge—There’s nothing that I can say about this other than: Where do I sign over my fangirl rights?

54. Nina Simone—Her song “Feeling Good” is the anthem of my life. She wrote beautiful music with real social and political commentary, and she could write a love ballad.

55. Rob Dougan—The reformed clubber in me loves this man’s beats and his cigar and whiskey voice.

56. E.S. Posthumus—Excellent blend of orchestrated sound with dance beats (re: Pompeii).

The Backyardigans—This is a kiddie show that comes on Nick Jr. and Noggin’ that my baby loves. The cute factor is through the roof.

48 - 50 things that make me happy. 2 years ago

48. So You Think You Can Dance—That show is habit forming. :D It makes me wish I was a professional dancer.

49. Body Lotion—Give me Bath and Body Work’s lotion or give me death. This might actually be an addiction.

50. The word “soi-distant”—I love the way the word rolls off my lips. This is easily one of my favorite words.

Halfway there…

46 - 47 things that make me happy 2 years ago

46. Learning new words—Nothing makes my day more than discovering a new word and looking up the meaning. I always feel accomplished, like I’m expanding my vocabulary.

47. Applying new words I’ve learnd to conversation—I said nothing makes my day more than learning new words. I lied. I also feel accomplished when I learn a new word and I meld it into my conversations effectively.

41 - 45 things that make me happy 2 years ago

41. Being a woman—Does that need an explanation? Are you serious?

42. Purses—I love purse shopping. My current favorite purse in my collection is a black hobo bag.

43. Noses—For some reason, looking at noses make me happy. :) I like your nose, even if you don’t!

44. Eyes—Nothing says bliss like a pretty pair of eyes.

45. Watching other people dance—I love to dance like no one’s looking and I like watching other people do the same.

36-40 things that make me happy 2 years ago

36. Wrestling—Of the sports entertainment variety. Husband got me addicted while we were still dating in 2000, haven’t been able to fight it since. Whatcha gonna do, brother?

37. My computer-Husband and I decided to stick it to the man by building our own computer. We customized everything down to the last wire. And it makes me happy because it’s the most reliable computer I’ve ever had-and this was the first computer we’d ever built.

38. Mocha Frappucino (or B&N’s version-the Mocha Frappe)-Delicious as sin. I buy one of these every time I’m in the vicinity of a Starbucks.

39. Observing people—Yeah, it’s interesting watching the things people do (or listening to the things that people say) in public. I’m a writer; it can’t be helped. Every thing people say or do around me has the potential to spark an idea.

40. Baseball—This is an old childhood love of mine. I don’t watch it as much, anymore, but I remember going to Braves games with my friends. So, it makes me nostalgic. You just can’t beat that.
