Wow, this is more like it. Not sure if I prefer this or 1984, but I found this one more comical somehow – which has too be good. A scary vision of the future that isn’t too far off the mark. Say no to soma! Say no to whipping yourself!

Book 4 - a little bit about tractors 2 years ago

But more about a nutso old man and his family. This is a pretty entertaining book. Very easy to read and quite witty. If you want to find out more about tractors in ukraine there’s probably some better places to look, though they’ll be drier than this. A nice easy ready for book number 4.

Pada Snieg 2 years ago

Finally we have some snow in Poland. Time to head for the hills? Well, I will get there, but in the meantime I’ve been reading more. Snow is a fantastic book. Definitely read it. Took me a while to read though it’s incredibly gripping and thought-provoking.

2. “1984” by George Orwell

Great read. I think someone told me it was depressing and very tough going. Not at all. The politics gets a bit heavy part way through, but hey, it’s to be expected.
Gives me another reason to hate Big Brother!

Got plenty of time on the train to Kraków every weekend.
1. “The Shadow of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

Great, easy to read book. Very entertaining and colourfully written. Loved the characters, well mainly Fermin. Not sure about the ending but I won’t spoil anything :-)
