mail thank you cards

I think I am going to have to mark this as done.
I need to remember one man wants me to call him when I am at my mom’s so he can visit us. He is an old friend of my dad’s.
I need to send him a note and let him know of our travel dates.

one man was my dad’s student! My dad taught him how to read!!
another was in my dad’s troop in the Canadian army, he told me ‘He was a fine officer and led us through the war without fear.”
another lady went to school with my dad and was the class vp . he was the president.
i love hearing these stories of my dad way before i waS born.

mailed a few more today.
I feel so good about doing these.

got about 10 more done.

these people are so special to my parents and vice versa.
some knew dad and mom from way back in 1944 and were at their wedding.
I do not even have friends like that!

to my dad’s friend, who is also a war hero from world war 2.
I hope the letter is something the friend likes getting in the mail.

I wrote thank you to a lady who my dad went to school with 71 yrs ago.
I hope she is glad I wrote.
I am trying to thank all my dad’s friends and there are a lot of them!
I miss my dad and I know they all do too.

i am sending one finally. I am trying to write each person who sent sympathy cards to my family after dad died.
I have been doing a little bit a week, but stopped altogether.
I just got one ready to mail. my cousin in canada, I hope he stays in touch with me too.
we all miss my dad. so it is sad to do these sometimes, I cry when i read the cards, but its still a good feeling too.
we just cant help but miss him so much

this is going to take a while. each and every one of my dad’s friends and the fmaily members far away deserve a thoughtful thank you . i write maybe 2 a week, I hope they know how much they meant to him and us.

i mailed 2 today . my dad’s friends are going to get mail. i am honored to write these kind people
