Read Chs. 1&2 of the Harmonica for Dummies (online) but...

When I started reading Ch. 3 I figured out that I really need the CD that accompanies the hard copy of the book. As luck would have it, they do not carry the physical version of the book in my library. Shux! I am not deterred but I sure wish I had that CD!
Oh and btw, I “borrowed” a brand new Hohner Marine Band Special 20 from a friend who’s never gonna use it, she had a stack of harps in every key for a class that she dropped.

Doing my best to send Van Morrison-y sounding notes out across the ether to wish Avitorrio and Bruce good food, family and fellowship on their big day in LV! Also, I had to show off my new storage option for the harp! Ha! (ok, I’ve had a lil coffee!)

I have made a little progress

with lots of encouragement from Avittorio on this goal. I take at least one of my harps w/ me everywhere I go now and I blow thru it as often as is permissible. Avitorrio sent me some great youtube links to beginner’s lessons that I started practicing this morning, I can’t wait to go home and practice more!

Had an idea

Once I get a few lessons I thought it would be cool to practice while riding my bike with one of those Bob Dylan-style harmonica neck harnesses; train sounds would be a great place to start, I think.
