get a debit card

Alright! It took me long enough, but I finally have my card ready, loaded with funds and just begging to be used. I’m glad I went this route instead of a credit card and all its pitfalls – I know too many people with inflated credit card debts and don’t want to fall into that pattern. Three cheers for debit cards!

It arrived in the mail today! On a Friday, which is a bit unfortunate seeing as I probably won’t be able to go in and sort out all the identification stuff until Tuesday. But that’s okay, I’ve got it now and I’m not too sure why I took my time in applying for one because it was such an easy process. So, here’s to future internet shopping!

I went and applied for a visa debit card today, and I should be receiving it in a couple of days. Then I have to go and provide documents for a 100 point identity check, then activate the card over the phone, put some money on the account and it’s good to go. I also get a student discount, so it’ll only be costing me $3 a month, pretty sweet.
