Read all the books on the BBC Big Read Top 100

Usually I wish the tube journey in the mornings wasn’t so long but today I wished it was longer because I have just a few pages of the Amber Spyglass left to finish. I’ve always been a fan of Harry Potter but His Dark Materials is so much more complex and therefore harder but more rewarding to read.

It was quite good. It was a bit hard going initially – took a while to adjust to the style but eventually it wasn’t bad at all. Had picked up Subtle Knife and Amber Spyglass to sell on ebay but will read them first now.

Just got this from the library and have started. Going is slow though as this is currently my loo book. Once I finish Perfume by Patrick Suskind (which is fabulous) it’ll get upgraded to mu bus book when progress will be faster.

I read this a few months ago but I obviously forgot to update this. I liked the book but I have to say out the the LOTR books, The Hobbit book and the LOTR movies, I’ll vote for the movies anyday. One of the rare books which was much better on film – perhaps because the films had a sense of humour.

This is what I’ve read so far. India doesn’t have too many libraries so I will have to be creative about finding the others. Project Guten berg has some I know – perhap my favourite second hand shop will have some as well. I try not to buy ‘new’ books anymore because I’m saving up for my wedding!
