Live in another country

I’m in Madrid! I’ve had a bit of culture shock with my basic Spanish and disheartening job hunting this week. But this evening I went to a couchsurfing event and met some other people and I feel much better now. I need to work on my Spanish and find a job and make friends. I’ll complete this goal when I reach 6 months – the summer holidays :D It’s a tough time but I’m determined to get the most out of the experience and remember that this is the hard part!

I quit the job I had for 6 years – handed in my resignation in October and I’ll be flying to Madrid in January! I plan to live there for a year with a 2 month holiday in the summer!

This year I completed a TEFL course so now I have an English language teaching qualification. I’m planning to move to Madrid in January for a year! I realised that it’s now or never and I would always regret not taking a chance. Currently learning spanish and trying to save money…
