I haven’t been in a race since the summer and it was my first 5k in ages. I just registered for another 5k. So my new theory is that I just have to try and run one event a month at least to stay motivated and hopefully get to a marathon. Maybe the 10k in December. Brrr.

I haven’t been able to contact the people in charge of the 10k on Aug 19th so I will have to find another one. I need to start working out more NOW. I need to be in shape in two weeks. Thats about 5lbs I would like to drop off my stomach and chest.
I am not even close to ready but I think I am going to register for a 10k on Aug 19th. I need to get my but in gear. The heat and a new job I just haven’t been training enough. I am having a pool party the following weekend so this is even more incentive to train hard the next few weeks. I think I would like to lose another 5lbs by then. Get back to 155.
I need to find a good training guide for running a 10K or training for a triathlon. If anyone has any give me some advice. I like everyone else am crunched for time and I like to swim and bike as well, so anything that incorporates a lot of cross training would be really cool. Any ideas would be appreciated.
I just completed a 5k and think that the next step is to run train for and enter a 10K instead of a 1/2 marathon or anything else. So that or another 5K will probably be next race.
By race I just mean that I will go and run the whole time not really race. The fact that I finish in a good time for myself is rewarding in itself.
