...was the first day cleaning out my old house that I’ve been using to store all the nonsense that I don’t use. Finally. It has been sitting empty of human life for years.
I threw away 25 of those large industrial trash bags worth of useless items, donated 2 boxes of items, and kept 10 boxes of items. A total of 2 interior rooms and 1/2 of the garage was cleaned out in the first day. There are 6 rooms and 1/2 the garage left to clean. Tomorrow will be the second day in this project.
I will probably end up with about 50 boxes of “keep” items plus furniture. I will then sort the items in these 50 boxes again in order to eliminate another 50% of those items and organize them into what to move to my new house and what to put into a storage unit.
Once this project is done, I hope to be motivated to throw away 50% of the items in my new house to make room for what I will be transporting. I have suffered from hoarding tendencies (obviously) in the past and am working hard to remedy the situation and create a healthy living environment.

Brought two cabinets and a clothing rack home yesterday. Here’s to organization and storage space!! Books on the shelves, folded clothes in the drawers, hanging clothes on the clothing rack…even threw out a fish tank stand that was wasting space and moved the tank into one of those cupboards. Oh yeah.

...KEEPING it clean.
Today we disposed of 90% of the trash inside the house and 80% of the trash outside. The stuff inside wasn’t much really…Just whatever accumulates in trash cans throughout the week. Outside, however included a bunch of crap that was here when we moved that we have yet to get rid of. Until today!!
The main problems that was have with keeping the house clean are as follows. Aluminum cans. We need a designated can area where we can keep them once they are emptied, rinsed, and crushed until they find their way to the scrap yard. DishesI think that neither of us really enjoy washing dishes. We tend to put them off for several days until absolutely necessary. FurnitureAs I have said before, the house needs to be fixed up and we need to move all of my remaining furniture to it. If we had shelves and drawers and whatnot we would actually have somewhere to STORE everything.
So, things to work on. Trash gets thrown away AS SOON as it becomes trash. Dirty dishes get washed AS SOON as they become dirty. And we get furniture in this house AS SOON as humanly possible.

So I’m moving.
I’m going to go through all the crap that is in my old house and get rid of 90% of it. I really need to downsize and simplify my life. So most of my possessions are about to be sold, thrown out, or donated to charity. And once all the nonsense is gone, I shouldn’t have too much trouble keeping my new little house clean. _

The house is clean at last…We even got it finished in time for the party…We still have that stuff in the storage room to go through but that is a different story I suppose…I am going to leave this goal on my list for a while because I want to make sure that my house STAYS clean…
