Volunteer as an EMT

I now have my state card, my national registry card, and my county’s required training on our protocols; as soon as my paperwork is signed by about 43 required officials, I’ll be able to function as an EMT-B. This week I volunteered 24 hours an aide. Still need an EVOC course so I can drive the ambulance.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been volunteering as an aide on the ambulance. Within the next couple weeks I should get my state and National Registry EMT-Basic certification. Last night (New Year’s Eve) was the first time I performed CPR on a patient.

I should finish the West Virginia EMT-B course in December. It’s a little different from Pennsylvania.

Until then, I can volunteer as an aide on an ambulance.
