Everything went well for a few days, then I got back on the same track by the end of the week. I do want to get back on track again though.
From the first try, I learned:
1: I had much more time to do other things
2: I read more
3: I used TV to stall myself from doing other things (why that is happening is another question)
4: It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be
So, this time, I will try to watch for the pit falls and have a bit more of a game plan.

So I am still sick and staying at home today, but managed to watch one hour of tv and stay in bed the rest of the time. Last night, when I went to watch “tess”, the cable was diconnected, not sure why. Unfortunately, it came back online this morning, but I am still within my “limit”. I am about half-way through week one, so I am confident I will make it. There isn’t anything I am planning to watch. I was pretty hooked on Coronation Street, however, once its gone, you don’t miss it.

Well, the deal was I would allow myself three hours during the week to watch TV. I watched an hour of the Presidential debate last night, which was fairly interesting, however, more often than not, I just found John McCain really hard to take.
I have been watching the Tess of the Durbevilles miniseries, so that is my other hour.
Honestly, it isn’t as bad as I thought. My partner is very supportive and has been reading most of the time. Funny enough, we are talking more and the house is a bit more tidy.
Downside is, I just caught a bad cold and want to do that curl up in front of the TV thing. So far so good though. At the end of the day, I know it is better to sleep it off than veg in front of the TV.
Thanks for all the support! It really does help!

I wish I could throw the thing out but my partner still wants to watch it, which makes it more difficult to quit. My goal is to limit it to three hours this week. I made half-hour tokens which will help me keep track of it.
Wish me luck!
