we went to the market together with my sisters, drank coconut-like drinks, and went to have fruits at the roadside. then we drove home, winding on the road, beautiful view from the top when we stopped..
before i left, she was there, sitting on top of the stairs. after i said goodbye, she said, “come here”.
“why?” i said.
“just come”.
she held my face to hers.
“i just want to have a good look at you before you leave”.
speechless with a smile..
the best feeling any person could have before leaving home to study.

i went out with one of my good friends and she was going all out in buying gifts for her dad’s 50th birthday. then there was a ‘buy one free one’ sale and the shirts were absolutely gorgeous (but still, with the sale, pretty pricey). my friend was like, “you can get one for your dad”.
so i know it wasn’t my idea or my money, but to know that a friend was in-directly involved (and seeing my family’s reaction), makes me feel all hopeful about a little bit of everything… friends. family. parents. life.

it’s my semester break now..
the past week i’ve been in my parents’ office.. just being around them, and doing simple stuff like going out to get lunch for everyone.. i enjoyed it :)
