So my sibling called me up today and told me she came out to our mom—not sure if he just mentioned crossdressing or actually tried to explain the whole genderqueer thing. My mom actually didn’t flip out. My dad does not know, and it is perhaps better that way.
When am I going to get around to this? I don’t know. I still hate my parents and I’m not sure I even really care enough to tell them. They don’t really know anything about me; I had to cut them off early on because they very nearly did drive me to insanity. It’s funny how a pair of siblings raised in the same household can end up having such totally different experiences within the family dynamic. But also interesting how we both ended up queer.
