Get more traffic to my website

I’m back at working on www.MultiPurposeWoman.com – having a hard time with focusing on a topic and writing consistently. It’s partly because of the idea behind the site – it’s about LIFE and life isn’t just one topic. But that shouldn’t keep me from gaining traffic so I have to be truthful and say the problem is I keep waffling between thinking about traffic and income generation. They really are two totally separate things that require a different kind of focus and different tasks. So there I’ve faced it and now I can deal with both.

Someone said that building a website is like erecting a billboard in your basement.

I know what they mean and I’m determined to see how many people can fit into my basement to see it – or maybe I need to put up a webcam from my basement to broadcast the billboard to the world – but that’s sort of like those Russian nestling dolls since a webcam would require a website thus I’d have two billboards in my already crowded basement.

Anyway, I’m not giving up. I’m learning about SEO, marketing, and other things and I’m continuing to write – which was the real impetus for the website creation.
